ITEM OF THE WEEK Echoes of waves crashing against the rocks just outside the massive tower that you're climbing, one hand holds fuel for the light, and the other guides you along the wall for support. In these times it was hard to be the lighthouse keeper but one thing was sure, you needed to do it so that it would allow ships to know that the area was too shallow for them and to warn of shoals and reefs that could damage them. It was such an exciting time when lighthouses were built, there is no one operating them now, just to maintain them as they are all automatic but they are still beautiful to see. This tartan half zip shirt is inspired withe aquatic shades of the ocean as tribute to our long history of lighthouses and their keepers. The half zip allows for a unique appearance, one that you won't regret to wear! It's a work shirt so you've got two patch pockets with flaps and a slit in one of them for a pen or cigarette, whatever you fancy! The placket is a simple zipper, but only half a placket as any more would cause some minor problems during the storms when you need to haul up that fuel. Oh...that's right, they're automatic now but that doesn't mean you can't wear this beautiful shirt! Don't regret not buying this beautiful shirt, there is so much history with lighthouses that it's a wonder you haven't been dressing like a keeper before. The donut buttons are metal and accent the shirt nicely with a golden ring on the interior of the button. Nothing compares to this shirt so why don't you have one? Need one for your collection?
