ITEM OF THE WEEK Pushing cotton around in a blue tub of hot water, you can see that the blue dye is seeping into the white woven cloth, the more you push the fabric with the long wooden stick, the more you can see that the color is getting deeper. You think to yourself, "White or red dots would add a nice contrast to this...." The Japanese indigo dye is the highest quality dye in the world, it has such a rich and deep color that is unmatched by others. It has to do with how their indigo plants are raised, it may be expensive but well worth it as the indigo dyes is fermented from the leaves of the plant instead of the flower. Polka dots were quite common in the earlier part of the 1900's and were always a good way to add some fun to your outfit as long as everything else was simple. Many men chose to wear a polka dot shirt to express their individuality but they also wore a simple bow tie and suspenders along with trousers. This workshirt is special as it has a club collar which hasn't been seen since the popularity of the pointed collar, it's smooth, and adds a nice touch to the shirt. There is a pen holder on the left breast pocket and button closures on each one to keep your items safe. The red dots accentuate the blue indigo fabric so it has a subtle look of fun so that you're not so flamboyant in a crowd but it does show that you're a "fun" person! So what are you waiting for? Grab this Japanese indigo polka dot workshirt today! Give your closet some fun time too, it deserves it! Need to add one to your ensemble? Here you go: Connor Workshirt |
