ITEM OF THE WEEK Can you imagine the coal dust falling around you inside a mine? Perhaps you've paired your jeans with a white t-shirt and slicked your hair back? Or maybe you're just imagining yourself slipping on a pair of rigid jeans that are Made in the USA because you're from the 1950's when everything was made in the states? Well, whatever your imagination conjures just remember that Jack Spade now has rigid denim made in the USA with cone denim woven at Cone Mills in Greensboro, North Carolina with cotton grown right here in the states! White Oak is aptly named for the white oak tree that sits at the entrance of the Cone Mills factory and they produce the best American denim. There are different shades of denim produced there but the Jack Spade BT-100 uses an indigo dye that isn't all that dark and is more of a color that the Japanese refer to as "ruri." It's a lighter blue rather than the darker color you're used to seeing and by gosh does it fade to an enigmatic blue-green! It's worth a shot to fade a pair of these and see what you come up with! Also, the BT-100 is a classic straight fit which means it will fit right in with your workwear style. Did we mention that it's made of selvage denim? No? Well it is! We even have the evidence on the left to prove it! You just can't beat a cuffed hem showing off that yummy selvage. Mmm!! It shows that you know your jeans and you know what you want in fashion. Remember, picking up a pair of raw jeans only means that you're going to need to fade them and keep them unwashed for a minimum of 6 months then inside them out, wash, and hang dry unless you're a fanatic in which case, put them on wet and let it conform to your body! You won't regret it, we guarantee it. Tune in next week for another FRESH ITEM! Need a link to find a pair? Here you go: BT-100 |
