ITEM OF THE WEEK Wind caresses your face, it toys with the loose clothes that you wear, and you can hear it through the tall grass on the plains. Your feet keep you planted to enjoy the freedom for the moment before you're forced to move on towards a better place. You glance over your shoulder and look at the caravan that you own, it's pulled by two oxen, and you can see the open blue sky above you. Fascinating right? Well you can't transport yourself back to the old times but you can look the part by wearing this work shirt! It's created from light-weight indigo dyed jaspe herringbone fabric. Jaspe yarn is when two or more fibers of different colors have been twined together to form a mixed or heather-effect color and herringbone is a distinctive v-shaped weaving commonly found in twill, it looks like a broken zigzag (it's called herringbone because it resembles the skeleton of a herring fish.) It's heavily washed to give it a time worn look to it so that you don't have to do it yourself. It has two patch pockets on either side of the placket with a button flap closure to keep all of your items safe from falling out. Triple chain-stitching ensures that the you're wearing something authentic! There are vent holes on the under arm and back to help release all that sweat you're going to produce once you start working this shirt....or not, they are embroidered with a contrasting color. Either way, it's a nice touch to a reproduction shirt from the 1950's. It even has shoulder piecing for added effect and authenticity. This shirt is for you if you're looking for a unique work shirt to wear out and about. Because of the design, the jaspe gives it a multicolor appearance because of the dual colored threads used to weave it, and the herringbone is a distinct touch that screams 1950's. Anything that uses a herringbone style of weaving automatically shows that it's a unique piece as herringbone is quite labor intensive and needs to be worn proudly! Show off that indigo dyed jaspe herringbone work shirt that's a reproduction from the 1950's, your wardrobe will thank you for adding it to your collection. Need to find one?
